Do NOT attempt to Save the World…
Every single person on earth is capable of making a difference, but not one single person is capable of saving the entire world. Noble intentions coupled with a big ego will only lead to hardship and suffering. Only when you truly follow your heart and have learned to control your ego and tame your mind, are you capable of great accomplishments and able to live your best life and be happy.
We need to constantly be aware of what our true, driving motivation is for doing good in this world.
Are we harboring grandiose dreams of being ultimately credited with saving our planet? Of becoming the next Ghandi, Mother Teresa or Barack Obama? or of one day having a school or university named in our honor? Is this the cause of the exhilaration that gets you out of bed every morning and pursuing your “good deeds”?
If so, then be warned that you are at risk of ultimately succumbing to exhaustion and disappointment because every accomplishment will only seem absolutely insignificant in comparison to your secret fantasies that motivate you, and by the very notion of being lead by your ego, rather than your heart, you will not be in the flow of life and will be ultimately kept from living your best life or living to your true capabilities and happiness will always evade you.
Our world has almost been destroyed by people with big egos and uncontrolled, unhealthy minds. It is time that we, as this generations social entrepreneurs, humble ourselves to the point where we are simply doing what we are doing because it FEELS like it is the right thing for us to do, without any expectation for any results. Simply following our hearts and bringing kindness, compassion and awareness into our world and of those around us.
We speak of “saving the world”, which only serves to either alienate those who wish to make a difference but are intimidated by the intense notion of that statement; or becomes a massive psychological burden to anyone who is pursuing that path.
Instead let us “Make the world a safer and happier place, one person at a time” by reaching out to friends, family, children and strangers, let us break down barriers in our own backyards and communities, let us keep it real and simple.
And for those with bigger dreams and capabilities, let us question their true motivation – not in an attempt to discourage them, but rather to keep their intentions pure.

Welcome back. Thanks for visiting!

Every human being makes a difference just being. This is not about becoming, it is about choosing to love and accept all you are. As Gandhi says, “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”
