What is the Ultimate Lifestyle?
What exactly is the Ultimate Lifestyle?
For most, the Ultimate Lifestyle is synonymous with Hollywood : lives symbolic of the image of absolute perfection, fame, fortune, power, prestige and excitement, but lives so completely removed from the ordinary status quo 9 to 5 world most of us live in that it leaves us with a feeling that we somehow missed out on life’s big, winning lottery ticket, a cynical feeling of “those lucky bastards”, then we put our heads back down and carry on with our daily grind, albeit mildly disgruntled. However those images of airbrushed models and actors / actresses living glamorous, seemingly Utopian lives subconsciously effect our every-day perception of beauty and perfection, and our assumption of what life could be like if only we were born with a silver spoon in our mouths. Those perfect lives portrayed in the movies and magazines lead us to live in a world where the “common people” are separated from the “celebrities”; with the celebrities privy to all the luxuries, comforts and prestige and leaving the rest of us, less privileged souls, with no choice but continue on with our own very predictable, linear lives, working in unsatisfying j.o.b.s just to pay bills and put food on the table…
But we do not live in a Black and White world. Just as black and white are two dynamically opposite shades of color, there is an entire spectrum of colors of huge diversity and beauty spawning the distance between these opposites, and so too with our lifestyles. Between the traditional lifestyles we live, and the Hollywood lifestyles they live, there is an entire spectrum of hugely diverse and beautiful opportunities available to us, that up until now have been largely off the radar to the mainstream public. No longer is the linear, 9 to 5 traditional lifestyle of “school, university, career, family, house, car, retire, then die” our only blueprint to live our lives by…
Opportunities to travel the world, live and experience different countries and cultures, opportunities to discover ourselves, our passions and aversions, discover what we are capable of, opportunities to test our entrepreneurial flares when we are young and with nothing much to lose, to start businesses with virtually zero capital and minimal risk, opportunities to discover what kind of lives we want to live, what kind of people we want to become and what kind of partners we want in our lives. We have the opportunities now to follow our dreams and live lives very different to that of our parents, grandparents and great grandparents, and people are already wising to this. There is a steadily growing legion of people around the world that are redefining “the Ultimate Lifestyle” as something else entirely, an upgrade from the traditional lifestyle to Lifestyle 2.0 – modern lifestyles that reflect our modern day world. This new lifestyle, the Ultimate Lifestyle, is accessible to average citizens, people not born into wealth or upper class privileges, but to people who believe that there must be more to life than what the traditional lifestyle provides. This Ultimate Lifestyle is coming to symbolize a life free from the burden and responsibility of the 9 to 5 world, a life free to sleep when we want to sleep and wake when we want to wake, a life free to travel when and for how long we want, a life where the emphasis and purpose of living is in the experiences and wisdom gained from our journeys and adventures, a life that values the importance of building strong, happy, healthy and supportive families and relationships, a life spent aligning passions with purpose and then monetizing those ventures, a life where failure is the same as success, just twists and turns in our life path, a life where j.o.b.s and the concept of retirement is irrelevant.
The Ultimate Lifestyle redefines what our values are, taking the emphasis away from material wealth and possessions, and instead focuses on strong family values and living a life worth living. The Ultimate Lifestyle is about contributing more than just taxes to our countries, it is about bettering our communities by bettering ourselves, creating happy, healthy and supportive communities for our children and grandchildren, by becoming happy, healthy and supportive human beings ourselves.
This Ultimate Lifestyle is about redefining the traditional life and gradually transitioning to Lifestyle 2.0 – the Ultimate Lifestyle. Slowly weaning ourselves from the 9 to 5 world and getting creative and resourceful to generate new income streams and pursuing paths that support us both financially and with our lifestyle aspirations. Creating lifestyles independent from, yet leveraging the traditional lifestyle and systems.
The Ultimate Lifestyle is NOT about becoming a smelly hippie and living in cave detached from mainstream society, nor is it about striving for the biggest house, the biggest car, the latest designer clothes and moving up the proverbial career and social ladders. It is about striving to live a satisfying, fulfilling, balanced and happy life. It is about reprioritizing what is truly important to us in our spiritual lives and acting accordingly to change the trajectory of our current lifestyles to one that is aligned with healthy values that will ensure the sustainability of our planet, the survival of us as the human species, and values that finally, in the first time in human history, place our happiness and experience in life as a priority.
The Ultimate Lifestyle methodology is to start from nothing and create our Ultimate Lifestyles from there, growing and shaping it as the years pass. Starting now by focusing on our family units, repairing strained bonds and moving forward with love, respect and acceptance. We start now by fostering a strong desire to be creative and resourceful, mindsets that will allow us to generate new income streams that are flexible around the demands of our lives. We start now by making a commitment to ourselves that we will not sell our soul for money, that we will put experience, happiness and family as priorities above money. We perfect this art of living and continue to build and grow our lives from here – generating money from as many different revenue streams as we wish / can and that are aligned with our natural interests, passions and skills, ensuring that we always love what we are doing and always wake up in the morning excited and optimistic about what the future has in store.
The Ultimate Lifestyle is about finding our personally, perfect, happy medium between black and white : finding our perfect shade of color, living it, then being open to experiencing new shades to suit each passing season of our lives.
The Ultimate Lifestyle takes courage because as with all new things, it takes time for the idea to get through to the masses, and until it does, you will be embarking on a very unconventional path, but as with all new great things, it is best to get on-board in the beginning while the world is ripe with opportunities to allow you to live the Ultimate Lifestyle, because unfortunately it is impossible for everyone in this world to be able to live the Ultimate Lifestyle – there will be a saturation point because the structure of our societies depend on people to live the 9 to 5 life for its continuity, but that does not have to be you.
For some, the trappings of the luxuries and comfort they are used to are too great to give up, but these people are older and this opportunity has passed them by already. These people are too stuck in their ways, their minds have become stubborn with their own ideals and way of life that to stop now and change path will be too traumatic and distressing. It is these people that you have to be cautious of because they will not share your opinions, ideals or values.
The Ultimate Lifestyle is very much for the new generations, the people just starting out in life and who are dissatisfied with the predictability that their life seems destined for. The Ultimate Lifestyle is for us, the younger generations, and for our children and grandchildren.
The Ultimate Lifestyle starts now.

Welcome back. Thanks for visiting!

I really like this article. I think that maybe The Ultimate Lifestyle, could be also for the olds generations, of course is more difficult but they can!
I think you have a great deal to learn.
If you are serious about this then you need to become a reciever – you cannot do this by your limited experience and contacts.
If you are serious about this then you have a great deal to learn.
You are relying on your youth and looks – to be true you need to rely on what you can do rather than what you are.
Believe me, I know it. I always feel young at heart, but I realize my youth and charming good looks are passing me by, which is fine. I am happy with WHO I am, my experiences, my journey so far, my lessons learned and what the future has in store for me.
Honey, I’m open to receiving, so fire away. Any suggestions, advice, help or gestures of good-will appreciated.
excellent blog. i am happy to meet you here again, dear lara.

Very good post with lots of good views on how one can truly enjoy life and all it has to offer if only one would have an open mind as well as an open heart. I statement I always enjoy sharing with others is “Life is too short, make it a choice to enjoy it and bring others along! The ride is more enjoyable when you have company.” On the same note, the longer I live, the more I realize age in and of itself does not have a permanent impact on how one views life. The key word in that last sentence is the word ‘permanent’ because no matter what happens in life at any point in our life, we can always choose the way we react to what had happened. I learned that from a few of my mentors, some of which are in there 70’s and 80’s so it can’t be said that they’re inexperienced. Also, since many of my mentors who are very well of in life (from a financial, spiritual and family perspective) say the same thing, then it can’t really be a matter of an older generation (my mentors in their 70’s and 80’s) being out of touch with life or scenile.
Life is worth to be enjoyed!
Thanks for taking the time to share this!

Hi Gil, thanks for the lovely feedback. That is a great quote “Life is too short, make it a choice to enjoy it and bring others along – the ride is more enjoyable when you have company”! and I couldn’t agree with you more about no matter what happens in life, we always choose how we react. I took a look at your website – great stuff sunshine. I definitely agree that complacency is the mother of all sins. We need to feel empowered to take ownership of our lives, others life will just pass us by and we will be a bystander to our own life.
Thanks again Gil
Peace and much love

Wow…what a lengthy and resourceful post. I like how you started and finished the post. Life is not long and not too short. I believe we should start setting goals of when to die so that we can live life to the fullest before that day. It good to own one’s life early too. I write about people. business and nation development on my blog too
Hi,
The idea is catchy. The idea is really great, but it is far from refined. Right now it is kind of applicable to a limited level of granularity – it would work for isolated family units and for a limited count of people. It won’t work for the whole society and for the world as a whole. This sad realization is summarized in your words:
“it is best to get on-board in the beginning while the world is ripe with opportunities to allow you to live the Ultimate Lifestyle, because unfortunately it is impossible for everyone in this world to be able to live the Ultimate Lifestyle – there will be a saturation point because the structure of our societies depend on people to live the 9 to 5 life for its continuity, but that does not have to be you.”
What exactly means “that does not have to be you”? Who then? I think in order to bring even more appeal to LifeStyle 2.0 you should work out this issue.
Greeting from sunny Bulgaria!
Hi Vladimir, thanks for joining in on the conversation. When I said it doesn’t have to be *you* – it means that if *you* are really unsatisfied with living the traditional life, then opportunities abound for *you* to do something else. However, there are many people (believe it or not) who would prefer to continue to conform to the traditional life because of mental lethargy, of an unwillingness to think for themselves or do anything else. Some people really prefer to be told what to do and when to do it, but if that’s not *you*, then that’s fine – make that decision and live it.
Much love to you.
Lara Jane xx
Hello JesusFreak – thanks for the nice feedback. Agreed : keeping our own mortality in mind encourages us to do *something* with our lives while we have the chance!

Peace and much love
